Owned by the Hope-Dunbars for over 300 years, today St Mary’s Isle is run by Charles Hope-Dunbar who returned to Dumfries and Galloway in 2022, with his wife Clare and their two young boys.

Alongside farming, residential cottages and a family-run pheasant shoot, a select number of cottages are being turned into high-quality holiday accommodation.
